What is life insurance?
Life insurance is a contract between you and an insurance company.
Life insurance allows you to make sure your family is protected in the event of your death, during the policy term. You choose the amount of cover you need and the length of time you want to be insured for.
Your premiums will never change (unless you change the amount of cover held under the policy or alter the plan), allowing you to budget with confidence.
Who needs life insurance?
Life insurance would be suitable for you if you have; a partner or spouse who relies on your income, dependants such as young children or a family living in the home that you pay for. Cover might also be suitable if you want your funeral costs to be covered.
Types of life insurance
Term Life Insurance
A term life insurance policy is possibly the simplest form of life insurance: You pay a premium for a set period of time – usually between 10 and 30 years – and should you die during that time, a cash benefit is paid to your beneficiaries or family.
